Deep Respect
The Engine
EVO37

The starting point of the EVO37, as with the original car, is the central cell of the production car's chassis, to which two tubular structures are anchored at the front and rear. In this "evolution," however, the tubular structure is self-supporting, and the cell serves only as the "shell" of the passenger compartment frame/roll cage. This frame solution ensures greater torsional rigidity while remaining deeply respectful of its original technical approach.

From a technical perspective, the engine is a 4-cylinder inline unit supercharged by both a volumetric supercharger and a turbocharger. The advantage of this combination is the ability to use a suitable turbocharger to develop very high power at high revs, while simultaneously not sacrificing torque and performance at low revs thanks to the supercharger. Whoever drives it will experience full and powerful delivery across all engine speeds of the EVO37.

The car will be highly performant in every condition, both at low revs where the torque will not require a gear change to “pull away” smoothly, and at high revs where the full potential in terms of horsepower will be unleashed. This is what made the S4 victorious; the S4 was tested and driven by many drivers, drivers who had also experienced other Group B cars. Regarding the S4, everyone agreed that it had the best powertrain. As for the chassis, there were differing opinions, but the verdict on the engine was unanimous: this was the best engine of the Group B cars, and the engine of the EVO37 is now a modern Tribute to it.

EVO37 maintains the pattern of the independent quadrilateral wheels, with the coil springs, and the double rear shock absorbers. The technical setting of the car remains unchanged. The dimensions and the type of materials change and above all the construction process that creates an “Authentic Evolution” improves by innovating.

EVO37
We have tried to keep a concept as unchanged as possible: the engine supercharged by both a volumetric supercharger and a turbocharger. Not out of nostalgia for the past, but because it is a modern concept that is being revived today in official competitions (F1, Touring, WRC, etc.). The current downsizing trend of achieving very high power from smaller displacement engines is leading to a rediscovery of this setup, pairing the turbocharger with a centrifugal volumetric supercharger. Back then, ours was already a True Evolution!
